What size snowblower do I need?
PT asked:
I have a long drive way, about 30′ long, and about 15′ wide. I am a first time homeowner, and I am unsure of what size snowblower I will need, I dont want to get stuck with a snowblower that is too small for the job, and I dont want to get a HUGE snowblower that will be overkill. I live in an area that gets on average, anywhere from 6′-30′ of snow per season. Can anyone help?

I’d say about a 6.5 hp dual stage snowblower should work just fine for your needs.

I would guess that an 18 might be the largest that you need and could handle…. BUT.. I would very definitely ask that of the specialist at HOme Depot or Lowe’s.. Ask ONLY someone who KNOWS and not just someone who happens to work there if you know what I mean… The problem is for me … I do not know what sizes the come in

Depends on how much snow you plan to push and if you are a large person or not. Large person can push a motorized blower easier than someone smaller pushing a little Toro.
Consider what WEIGHT you are ready to deal with as well as with and power.

you need a 8hp 24 inch snow-blower. big enough if you need it, but lite enough so it don’t tire you out. 824
