can I burn snowblower gas in my car?

old beatnik asked:

I have a little less than one gallon of snowblower gas with 2 cycle oil in it. Can I burn this in my station wagon? It has a 12 gal tank to dilute the snowblower gas. I will be going on a 350 mile trip this weekend, so it would be used in less than 6 hrs.

NO! Are you fucking stupid? Don’t put two stroke oil mixed with gas into your engine.

by all means…load your car up with snowblower gas and then head off on a 350 mile trip. You will be fine.

go ahead…i do it every year with my weed wacker gas…it goes into my s 10.1999 chevy…never a problem…12 gal gas and 1 gallon wacker fuel…most people who say no never did it.

  6. Pirate Girls Kick Butt! Says:

Dude, keep it in the snow blower so you don’t forget and not have any next winter for the first snow of the season.

  7. Autowerks Liesza Says:

The amount left after dilution would be the same as adding a petroleum based injector cleaner to your fuel. Should not make a difference at all.

  8. Ben ™ Says:

I wouldn’t recommend it — I don’t like to leave gas setting in the snowblower so I usually use mine up in the lawnmower — thanks for the reminder –
