On my two stage snowblowers i always have to spray WD40 on the auger assembly, and chute to prevent the snow from sticking. Whenever the time comes getting them started for winter i never have any WD40. What else can i use to prevent snow from sticking?

Would anyone know if they still import / sell Yamaha snowblowers in Canada ?? Some idiot decided to stop selling them in the States, years ago and my 19 year old YS-828T is starting to show its age.. I live close enough that a trip across the border for a new one is possible; just need to know who, where & if they’re available..

I have an 8hp dual-stage MTD snowblower (badged Snowflite) where the auger belt broke. There doesn’t appear to be enough space to slide the new belt between the gears.

What is the best way to change that belt? Most snowblowers seem to be built similarly. I’m guessing I need to take apart some of the gearbox, but would like to have a clue where to start.
